Peka‑Pro HT160 (High Temperature Resistant FBE Coating)

About

Premium single‑layer Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) designed for pipelines in extreme service up to 150 °C, offering outstanding corrosion defense, thermal resistance, and mechanical durability.

More info from this product

Peka‑Pro HT160 is the top tier of Peka Chemie’s high‑temperature Fusion Bonded Epoxy range, created for the most demanding oil and gas pipeline environments. It reliably maintains adhesion, corrosion protection, and mechanical strength under continuous exposure to service temperatures up to 150 °C. Serving as a stand‑alone corrosion barrier or the base layer in dual‑layer/multilayer systems, HT160 is engineered to withstand the harshest operating conditions, including thermal cycling and mechanical stresses.

Key Advantages

  • Thermal stability for continuous service up to 150 °C
  • Exceptional adhesion and chemical resistance under extreme heat
  • Superior cathodic disbondment resistance across high‑temperature ranges
  • Compatible with Peka‑Pro DL‑AR‑HT for mechanical protection in hot service
  • Exceeds performance requirements of CSA and ISO pipeline coating standards

Application Process

  1. Prepare surface to Near‑White Blast (SA 2½, ISO 11124‑3), profile 50–100 μm
  2. Preheat pipe steel to 210–240 °C
  3. Apply first corrosion‑protection layer (400 ± 50 μm)
  4. (Optional) Add high‑temperature mechanical topcoat for added durability
  5. Cool gradually to finalize curing and coating performance
