Peka‑Pro IPC (Internal Pipe Coating – Potable Water)

About

Fusion‑bonded epoxy (FBE) internal coating designed specifically for potable water pipelines, delivering outstanding corrosion protection, water quality safety, and long‑term durability.

More info from this product

Peka‑Pro IPC from Peka Chemie is a premium internal fusion‑bonded epoxy coating formulated for steel pipelines carrying potable drinking water. The coating is designed to inhibit corrosion, prevent leaching of metals, and maintain water purity over decades of service.

Its formulation meets stringent health and materials safety standards for drinking water contact, while offering excellent adhesion, wear resistance, and compatibility with long operating cycles. Applied as a one‑part, heat‑cured epoxy powder, Peka‑Pro IPC ensures an impermeable, smooth internal surface that reduces friction losses, suppresses bacterial growth, and resists scale formation.

Key Advantages

  • Certified safe for drinking water contact
  • Excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance inside pipelines
  • Smooth bore reduces energy loss and sediment build‑up
  • Protects against leaching of heavy metals into water
  • Long‑term stability under cyclic pressure and temperature changes

Application Process

  1. Blast clean the internal surface of the pipe to SA 2½ (ISO 11124‑3)
  2. Preheat pipe to the specified curing temperature
  3. Apply Peka‑Pro IPC powder coating by electrostatic spray or fluidized‑bed process
  4. Heat cure to achieve complete film cross‑linking and adhesion
  5. Inspection via holiday detection, adhesion testing, and visual examination
