Peka‑Pro DL‑AR‑HT (Dual Layer Abrasion Resistant – High Temp)

About

Dual‑layer Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) system with exceptional abrasion and gouge resistance, engineered for pipelines exposed to severe mechanical stress during handling, transport, and installation.

More info from this product

Peka‑Pro DL‑AR‑HT from Peka Chemie is an advanced multilayer pipeline coating system designed for high‑temperature service environments where operational temperatures can exceed 90 °C and reach up to 130 °C. It combines a primary corrosion‑resistant high‑temperature FBE base (such as Peka‑Pro HT120, HT140, or HT160) with an abrasion‑resistant top layer engineered to retain mechanical strength under continuous thermal stress.

This system ensures that pipelines maintain their protective barrier against corrosion, gouging, and surface wear even when exposed to both elevated temperatures and heavy mechanical loads during handling, transportation, and installation. DL‑AR‑HT is ideal for oil, gas, and water pipelines operating in aggressive service conditions, including directional drilling and rocky backfill environments.

Key Advantages

  • High‑temperature resistance up to 130 °C service temperature
  • Outstanding abrasion and gouge resistance under thermal cycling
  • Compatible with high‑temp FBE primers (HT120/HT140/HT160)
  • Prevents mechanical damage during HDD, handling, and backfilling
  • Maintains adhesion and anti‑corrosion performance under heat and stress

Application Process (Typical for DL‑AR‑HT over HT basecoat)

  1. Near‑White Blast cleaning (SA 2½, ISO 11124‑3), profile 50–100 μm
  2. Preheat steel substrate to 218–250 °C
  3. Apply high‑temp corrosion protection base layer (HT120/140/160, 400 ± 50 μm)
  4. Apply abrasion‑resistant topcoat (DL‑AR‑HT, 450 ± 50 μm)
  5. Apply optional sealing/tie‑over layer (50–100 μm) if specified
  6. Controlled cooling
