Pipeline & Tank Coating

About

High‑performance liquid and powder coating systems designed for superior corrosion protection of pipelines and storage tanks in oil, gas, water, and industrial applications.

More info from this product

Pipeline & Tank Coatings are engineered to provide long‑term protection for steel pipelines and metal storage tanks operating in buried, submerged, or above‑ground environments. These coating systems combine exceptional barrier properties, chemical resistance, and impact strength to prevent corrosion, abrasion, and environmental degradation. Depending on service conditions, they may use Fusion‑Bonded Epoxy (FBE), epoxy liquid systems, polyurethane topcoats, or multi‑layer combinations.

2. Key Advantages

  • Excellent corrosion resistance in harsh environments
  • High adhesion to properly prepared steel surfaces
  • Resistance to chemicals, fuels, and water immersion
  • Withstands mechanical stresses during transport, installation, and service
  • Suitable for both new construction and maintenance recoating

3. Application Process

  • Surface Preparation: Abrasive blast cleaning to Sa 2½ or Sa 3 (ISO 8501‑1) with profile 50–100 μm
  • Application:
    • For FBE/powder systems: Electrostatic application and thermal curing
    • For liquid systems: Spray, brush, or roller application with appropriate curing schedule
  • System Options: Single‑layer, dual‑layer, or three‑layer coating systems depending on project requirements

4. Technical Features

  • Resin Types: Epoxy, polyurethane, or FBE depending on system design
  • Film Thickness: Typically 300–800 μm total system
  • Temperature Resistance: Up to 150°C for high‑temp systems
  • Service Life: 20–30 years with correct surface prep and application

5. Standards & Compliance

Designed to meet or exceed ISO 21809, CSA Z245.20/.21, and project‑specific specifications for petroleum, gas, and water pipelines, as well as API 653 for storage tanks.

6. Best For

  • Oil, gas, and water transmission pipelines
  • Storage tanks for petroleum products, chemicals, and water
  • Offshore and coastal installations
  • Industrial process piping
